Melanie Harrigan, LCSW-C
Ms. Melanie Harrigan brings over six years of experience in the mental health field to her practice. She believes therapy is a transformative journey rooted in vulnerability, honesty, and a commitment to personal growth. She describes her therapeutic approach as person-centered, strengths-based, and holistic, recognizing the unique experiences, strengths, and needs of each individual.
Ms. Harrigan enjoys working with all populations and is particularly passionate about supporting new mothers, adolescents, children, and women navigating life transitions, grief, loss, and new beginnings. Here at Triumph Behavioral Health, she strives to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where her clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their thoughts, process their emotions, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
Ms. Harrigan views therapy as a collaborative process and a powerful tool for self-discovery and meaningful change. While she considers herself a guide to support her clients throughout the therapeutic journey, she believes that lasting growth comes from a willingness to engage in the work, challenge limiting beliefs, and embrace new perspectives. Her ultimate goal is to empower clients to build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and cultivate self-mastery for the goal of becoming the most authentic, confident, and empowered version of themselves.
At Triumph Behavioral Health, a Maryland wellness center, Ms. Harrigan joins a team of skilled nurse practitioner therapists and experienced behavioral health providers who share her goals.
